Job summary

DP World in India is seeking a logistics professional to manage end-to-end ocean import shipments from pre-alert to final delivery. The role requires coordinating with overseas agents, shipping lines, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely milestones and accurate documentation.

The candidate will monitor vessel arrivals, filings such as IGM and Bill of Entry, and address shipment delays or discrepancies, while upholding compliance with customs regulations and internal SOPs.

• Manage end-to-end ocean import shipments from pre-alert receipt to final delivery.
• Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, customs brokers, transporters, and internal teams.
• Monitor shipment milestones, vessel arrivals, documentation, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure timely filing of IGM, Bill of Entry coordination, and other relevant documentation.
• Track and resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and operational exceptions.
• Verify shipping documents and ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal SOPs.

• Ensure timely filing of Import General Manifest (IGM), Bill of Entry coordination, and other relevant documentation.
• Track and resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and operational exceptions.

Documentation & Compliance

• Verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, statutory requirements, and internal SOPs.
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure timely submission of required documents.
• Monitor detention, demurrage, and other avoidable shipment-related costs.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Provide timely shipment updates and proactively address customer queries.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure timely closure of operational activities.

Performance & Process Management

• Meet defined operational KPIs, customer SLAs, and productivity targets.
• Ensure accurate and timely system updates, billing inputs, and shipment documentation.
• Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives.
