Job summary

Asian Paints is seeking a Stores/Inventory professional to oversee inward material control, material issuance, and stock accounting at the Bangalore Rural location. You will manage gate entry, verify receipts, and ensure accurate records and timely production support.

The role emphasizes coordination with Production, Planning, Purchase, and Sales, along with team supervision to meet delivery commitments and maintain compliance with internal processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in inward material control, including verification of receipts against POs and supplier invoices.
• Proven ability to maintain gate entry, inward verification, and proper storage.
• Strong focus on accuracy of stock ledgers, bin cards, and inward registers.

Responsibilities

• Inward Material Control: verify receipts against POs/invoices; establish gate entry; ensure proper counting, inspection, and storage.
• Material Issue Management: ensure timely issue to production and collect requisitions; plan based on BOQ and schedules.
• Inventory & Stock Accounting: maintain stock ledgers, bin cards; circulate daily stock reports; record all receipts/issues.

Key Responsibilities & KPIs

Inward Material Control

• Verify material receipts against Purchase Orders (POs) and supplier invoices.
• Establish and maintain gate entry and inward verification processes.
• Ensure proper material counting, inspection, and storage.

• Report discrepancies between PO, invoice, and physical receipt within 1 working day.
• 100% adherence to inward verification procedures.
• Proper bin-wise and location-wise material storage.

Material Issue Management

• Ensure timely issue of materials to production.
• Collect material requisitions from the Production team.
• Plan raw material issues based on BOQ and production schedules.

• Material issues planned at least one shift in advance.
• Zero production loss due to material non-availability.
• BOQ-based material issuance compliance.

Inventory & Stock Accounting

• Maintain stock ledgers, bin cards, and inward registers.
• Record all material receipts and issues accurately.
• Circulate daily stock reports to Planning and Purchase teams.

• Daily stock ledger update and circulation.
• 100% inventory transaction recording accuracy.
• Timely maintenance of inward registers and bin cards.

Stock Audit & Reconciliation

• Conduct monthly physical stock verification.
• Analyze and report inventory variances.
• Implement corrective actions to control stock differences.

• Monthly stock audit completion.
• Timely submission of variance analysis report.
• Reduction in inventory discrepancies.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchase, and Sales teams.
• Support timely execution of customer orders.
• Resolve operational bottlenecks impacting deliveries.

Team Management

• Supervise Stores and Dispatch personnel.
