Job summary

Asian Paints Limited in Bengaluru (KA) seeks an Executive I - Supply Chain to manage inward materials, issue materials to production, and oversee stock accounting to ensure seamless operations.

The role requires coordinating with Production, Planning, Purchase, and Sales teams; supervising Stores and Dispatch staff; and ensuring adherence to safety and processes for optimal efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Inward Material Control: Verify material receipts against POs and supplier invoices; establish gate entry and inward verification processes; ensure proper material counting, inspection, and storage.
• Material Issue Management: Ensure timely issue of materials to production; collect material requisitions; plan raw material issues based on BOQ and production schedules.
• Inventory & Stock Accounting: Maintain stock ledgers, bin cards, and inward registers; record all material receipts and issues; circulate daily stock reports.
• Stock Audit & Reconciliation: Conduct monthly physical stock verification; analyze and report inventory variances; implement corrective actions to reduce discrepancies.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchase, and Sales teams; support timely execution of customer orders.
• Team Management: Supervise Stores and Dispatch personnel; monitor performance and enforce safety and processes.

Key Responsibilities & KPIs

1. Inward Material Control

Responsibilities:

• Verify material receipts against Purchase Orders (POs) and supplier invoices.
• Establish and maintain gate entry and inward verification processes.
• Ensure proper material counting, inspection, and storage.

KPIs:

• Report discrepancies between PO, invoice, and physical receipt within 1 working day.
• 100% adherence to inward verification procedures.
• Proper bin-wise and location-wise material storage.

2. Material Issue Management

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely issue of materials to production.
• Collect material requisitions from the Production team.
• Plan raw material issues based on BOQ and production schedules.

KPIs:

• Material issues planned at least one shift in advance.
• BOQ-based material issuance compliance.

3. Inventory & Stock Accounting

Responsibilities:

• Maintain stock ledgers, bin cards, and inward registers.
• Record all material receipts and issues accurately.
• Circulate daily stock reports to Planning and Purchase teams.

KPIs:

• Daily stock ledger update and circulation.
• 100% inventory transaction recording accuracy.
• Timely maintenance of inward registers and bin cards.

4. Stock Audit & Reconciliation

Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly physical stock verification.
• Analyze and report inventory variances.
• Implement corrective actions to control stock differences.

KPIs:

• Monthly stock audit completion.
• Timely submission of variance analysis report.
• Reduction in inventory discrepancies.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchase, and Sales teams.
• Support timely execution of customer orders.

KPIs:

• Effective issue resolution and stakeholder coordination.

6. Team Management

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Stores and Dispatch personnel.
• Monitor performance and discipline within the team.
• Drive adherence to operational processes and safety standards.

KPIs:

• Team productivity and compliance.
• Successful achievement of departmental targets.
