Job summary

Alembic Pharmaceuticals seeks a seasoned Electrical Maintenance Engineer to manage comprehensive electrical upkeep across HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets and 4-pole structures. You will lead preventive maintenance of utilities and ensure safe, compliant operation of boiler, chiller and HVAC systems.

Ideal candidates bring 10–12 years in electrical maintenance within pharmaceutical/manufacturing environments, with a valid Electrical License and hands-on utility equipment experience.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10–12 years of relevant Electrical Maintenance experience, preferably in Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing.
• Electrical License required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical maintenance: HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets and 4-pole structures.
• Preventive maintenance of utility equipment.
• Operation & maintenance of boiler, chiller, compressed air generator & DG set.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP and safety norms for engineering.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibility:

• Responsible for overall electrical maintenance activity, HT LT panel, Transformer, DG set, 4-pole structure etc.
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of Utility equipments.
• Operation & Maintenance of Boiler, Chiller, Compressed air generator, DG set.
• Responsible for Compliance of cGMP & safety norms related to engineering department.

Secondary Job Responsibility:

• Maintain the Potable Water, Purified Water and HVAC systems.
• Oversee electrical maintenance activities, including HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets and 4-pole structures.
• Manage inventory control to meet Engineering Department requirements.
• Ensure timely training and skill development of engineering personnel.
• Handle breakdowns and troubleshooting for OSD (Oral Solid Dosage), liquid manufacturing and utility equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: BE / B.Tech Electrical
• Experience: 1012 years of relevant experience in Electrical Maintenance, preferably in Pharmaceutical / Manufacturing Industry.
• Candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HT/LT Panels, Transformers, DG Sets and 4-Pole Structures.
• Should have experience in Utility Equipment Maintenance and Boiler, Chiller, Compressed Air Generator & DG Set operation and maintenance.
• Good exposure to HVAC, Potable Water and Purified Water systems.
• Should have experience in breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of OSD, liquid manufacturing and utility equipment.
• Candidate must have the Electrical License.
