Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Hyderabad, India, seeks a skilled Utilities Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain critical facility systems that support production. You will manage boilers, steam distribution, chillers, AHU, PW/DM water, nitrogen and vacuum systems, and continuously monitor parameters to ensure an uninterrupted supply to manufacturing processes.

The role emphasizes preventive and breakdown maintenance and strict adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain utilities systems (boilers, steam distribution, chillers and HVAC, AHU, HEPA, cleanroom utilities).
• Monitor utility parameters and ensure continuous, uninterrupted supply to production; troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance; prepare maintenance schedules, SOPs and checklists.
• Ensure activities comply with cGMP, WHO-GMP, USFDA and EHS norms; maintain equipment history and calibration records; support audits.

Job description

Operate and maintain utilities systems including:

• Boilers & Steam distribution
• Chillers & HVAC (AHU, HEPA, cleanroom utilities)
• Cooling towers
• Compressed air (process & instrument air)
• Purified Water (PW), DM Water, Soft water
• Nitrogen system, vacuum system
• Monitor utility parameters and ensure continuous, uninterrupted supply to production.

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Prepare and follow maintenance schedules, SOPs, and checklists.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and utility-related issues to minimize downtime.

GMP, Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all activities comply with cGMP, WHO-GMP, USFDA, and EHS norms.
• Maintain equipment history cards, logbooks, calibration & maintenance records.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Handle deviations, change controls, and CAPA related to utilities & maintenance.
