Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee naval system projects with strong shipyard exposure. You will plan, execute, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality expectations.

The role requires expertise in I&C, preventive maintenance, and defect rectification of weapon systems, with preference for ex-servicemen having an electrical background. Site coordination for installation and commissioning will be key.

Qualifications

• Experience in naval defence systems and shipyard environments.
• Proven project management skills: planning, execution, QA.
• Experience in I&C, preventive maintenance, defect rectification of weapon systems.
• Ex-servicemen with electrical background preferable.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines and resources.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Coordinate dispatch activities and JRI.
• Manage supplier and cross-functional communications.
• Assemble and lead project teams for naval systems.
• Oversee site installation, commissioning and ongoing support.

Handling Project Management Of Naval System With Following Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution : Develop detailed project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required for successful project execution.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and align with organizational goals.
• Participation in Dispatch activities , JRI
• Supplier & Cross functional Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for cross functional or supplier, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns that arise.
• Team Coordination: Assemble and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
• Good Knowledge of Mechanical / electrical system of Naval defence System
• Site coordination for installation, commissioning and site support.
• Experience in I&C, preventive maintenance, defect rectification of Weapon system.
• Experience of working inside defence shipyard.
• Ex-servicemen with Electrical background (preferable)
