Job summary

Kasikannu Catering World is seeking an events coordinator to plan and oversee wedding catering from start to finish. You will visit venues, understand kitchen, dining, buffet and guest flow, and coordinate chefs, kitchen staff, service teams and supervisors to ensure smooth execution.

The role requires strong communication, ownership mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, with willingness to work long hours on event days.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate wedding catering events from preparation to completion.
• Visit venues and understand kitchen, dining, buffet, service and guest-flow arrangements.
• Coordinate chefs, kitchen team, service team and supervisors.
• Prepare event plans, manpower allocation and material checklists.
• Ensure food preparation and food readiness are completed on time.
• Brief and monitor the service team during events.
• Manage buffet / banana leaf service, guest flow and service quality.
• Handle event-day issues such as manpower shortage, food delay and crowd management.
• Coordinate with customers professionally and resolve basic event requirements.
• Check catering materials, equipment and requirements before and after the event.
• Take complete ownership of assigned events and provide timely updates to management.
• Prepare an event closing/report after completion.
