Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in estimation/costing with a real estate developer or construction contracting company.

Responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quantity take-offs (QTO).
• Prepare and finalize Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for civil, structural, MEP and finishing works.
• Develop rate analysis for materials, labor and equipment based on current market rates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for ongoing and upcoming real estate projects.
• Collect, compare and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Coordinate with design, planning, procurement and site teams to gather inputs and validate quantities.
• Support the tendering process including bid preparation, comparative statements and pricing strategy.
• Maintain and update the cost/rate database and historical project cost library.
• Track and reconcile estimated vs. actual quantities and costs during execution.
• Assist project and commercial teams with cost inputs for feasibility and budgeting decisions.

About the Role

We are looking for an Estimation Engineer with 23 years of hands-on experience in quantity take-off, BOQ preparation and cost estimation for real estate/residential-commercial construction projects. The role involves working closely with design, planning, procurement and site teams to develop accurate cost estimates and support tendering and budgeting decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quantity take-offs (QTO)
• Prepare and finalize Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for civil, structural, MEP and finishing works
• Develop rate analysis for materials, labor and equipment based on current market rates
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for ongoing and upcoming real estate projects

• Good understanding of construction methods, materials and market rate benchmarking
• Strong numerical, analytical and attention-to-detail skills
• Good communication skills to coordinate across design, planning, procurement and site teams
