Job summary

ACME MEP Services (I) Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Estimation Engineer – HVAC with 1+ years of experience to prepare cost estimates and techno-commercial proposals for commercial and residential HVAC projects.

The candidate should have hands-on exposure to VRV/VRF, Chilled Water and other HVAC systems, and a solid understanding of HVAC design, bill of quantities, and tender documentation. The role includes coordinating with design and procurement teams and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC qualification required.
• 1–2 years of experience in HVAC estimation and tendering.
• Experience with commercial and residential HVAC projects and understanding of VRV/VRF, Chilled Water systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC estimates, BOQs and techno‑commercial quotations.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and scope of work.
• Prepare estimates for VRV/VRF, Chilled Water and other HVAC systems.
• Analyse HVAC drawings and coordinate with design/project teams.
• Evaluate material quantities, equipment, labour and installation costs.
• Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations for competitive pricing.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals for clients.
• Estimate ducting, piping, insulation, controls, electrical requirements and HVAC accessories.
• Coordinate with sales, design, procurement and project teams during estimation and pre‑bid stages.
• Conduct site visits to understand project conditions and scope.
• Maintain estimation records, costing data and vendor databases.
• Support value engineering and cost optimisation while meeting technical requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant HVAC qualification.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in HVAC estimation.
• Experience handling commercial and residential HVAC projects.
• Good knowledge of VRV/VRF, Chilled Water and other HVAC systems.
• Good understanding of HVAC design principles, equipment selection and system requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC layouts, schematics, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Good analytical, numerical and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate

• Candidates with experience in HVAC contracting, MEP consultancy or HVAC project estimation will be preferred.
