Job summary

Smartworkconsultants in Madurai invites an experienced HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The role focuses on HVAC design, load calculations, ducting, piping, equipment selection, BOQ, and technical drawings for diverse projects.

You will develop heat load calculations, create layouts and schematics, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure drawings meet project specs and standards.

Qualifications

• Heat Load / Cooling Load Calculations essential.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, residential, and other engineering projects
• Perform HVAC heat load calculations and select appropriate equipment
• Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting, piping, and equipment drawings
• Develop HVAC design drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Prepare BOQ, equipment schedules, material specifications, and quantity estimates
• Select and coordinate HVAC equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, and ventilation systems
• Coordinate HVAC designs with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Structural, and Architectural teams
• Review drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards
• Support project teams with technical clarifications during execution
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams
• Manage design revisions and ensure timely submission of drawings
• Assist in resolving design and site-related technical issues
