Job summary

Microcool Systems is seeking a capable HVAC project engineer to lead installation and execution across chilled water, VRV/VRF, ducting, ventilation, piping, and cleanrooms. You will supervise site teams, read technical drawings, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain ERP records for materials and manpower.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 1 year in HVAC projects, and are proficient in MS Excel and project communication tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant HVAC project execution experience, preferably in industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system components and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
• Hands-on experience with ERP tools for project and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and project communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation and execution of HVAC systems including chilled water systems, VRV/VRF units, ducting, ventilation, piping, cleanrooms, etc.
• Supervise daily site activities and coordinate workforce deployment to meet project targets.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and BOQs to ensure accurate execution.
• Monitor compliance with designs, specs, and regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and internal design teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct quality inspections and prepare audit-ready documentation.
• Plan and track weekly/daily site schedules and progress reports.
• Maintain records in project ERP for materials, manpower, and status.
• Submit execution updates to PMO and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with office for timely and accurate billing.
• Interface with clients and consultants for reviews and clarifications.

• Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and BOQs to ensure accurate execution.
• Monitor compliance with approved designs, specifications, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, vendors, and internal design teams to resolve technical discrepancies.
• Conduct quality inspections, verification checks, and oversee documentation for audits and sign-offs.
• Plan and track weekly and daily site schedules, progress reports, and task allocations.
• Maintain accurate records in project ERP tools including material inventory, manpower logs, and work status.
• Prepare and submit execution updates to the project management office and stakeholders.
• Carry our timely measurement and get it approved from the client.
• Coordinate with the office for timely and accurate billing.
• Interface with clients and consultants for reviews, site inspections, and technical clarifications.
• Ensure transparent communication and timely escalation of site issues when needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in HVAC project execution, preferably in industrial sector, chiller system, cleanrooms, or other high-spec sectors.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC system components and installation methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
• Hands-on experience with ERP tools for project and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and project communication tools.
• Demonstrated leadership at construction sites with multi-disciplinary teams.
