Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services in India is seeking an Estimation & Costing Engineer with fenestration industry experience to prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations for aluminium, uPVC, faade, glazing, and related systems.

The role involves reviewing drawings, compiling material take-offs, developing cost estimates across materials, labour, and installation, and coordinating with Sales, Design, Procurement, and Projects to ensure competitive and profitable proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, and tender drawings along with project specifications.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs (QTO) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for aluminium windows, doors, curtain walls, faades, skylights, partitions, and glazing systems.
• Develop accurate project cost estimates covering materials, fabrication, labour, accessories, logistics, installation, and overheads.
• Prepare techno-commercial quotations, cost sheets, and tender submissions within defined timelines.
• Coordinate with Sales, Design, Procurement, Production, and Project teams for technical and commercial clarifications.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost competitiveness.
• Perform value engineering by identifying cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality or project specifications.
• Prepare material requirement sheets, costing summaries, and profitability analyses.
• Maintain updated pricing databases for aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, sealants, accessories, and consumables.
• Review contract documents to identify commercial and technical risks before project execution.
• Support project handover activities following order confirmation.
• Maintain accurate estimation records and historical cost databases for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, client specifications, and industry best practices.
