Job summary

An infrastructure organization in Gandhinagar seeks a President (Infrastructure) to lead strategic planning and operations for GIFT City. The ideal candidate should have over 25 years of experience in infrastructure planning, including leadership in Smart Cities and large-scale projects. Responsibilities include overseeing project execution and ensuring integration of smart technologies. This is a contractual, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 25 years of experience in infrastructure planning and execution.
• At least 5 years in leadership roles, preferably in Smart Cities or large-scale Infrastructure Projects.
• Experience delivering end-to-end infrastructure delivery across multiple engineering domains
• Familiarity with smart utility technologies and sustainable urban development practices

Responsibilities

• Formulate and steer the infrastructure strategy in alignment with GIFT City’s development roadmap.
• Lead all infrastructure domains including Civil, Electrical, Water & Waste Management.
• Oversee planning and execution of infrastructure projects and public utilities.
• Oversee planning and execution of greenfield and brownfield projects and public utilities
• Lead design, engineering, tendering, contracting and construction activities
• Ensure cross-department coordination to meet timelines, quality, and budgets
• Review and approve engineering designs, BOQs, SOPs, and submissions
• Drive integration of smart infrastructure technologies including automation and SCADA
• Lead capex planning, feasibility evaluations, and financial modelling
• Ensure value engineering, cost optimization, and stakeholder satisfaction
• Oversee operations and maintenance of city utilities and urban services
• Enhance service efficiency, uptime, and quality of urban services
• Implement governance dashboards and quality frameworks

Role Descriptions
