Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities
  • Daily Production Execution and Target Achievement:
  • Actively assist in day-to-day manufacturing and assembly operations on the plant shop floor.
  • Provide continuous operational assistance to the line crew to ensure that daily and periodic production quotas and targets are consistently met without operational delays.
  • Shop-Floor Process Monitoring and Workflow Management:
  • Regularly monitor manufacturing stages across assigned production lines.
  • Identify potential process bottlenecks, material shortages, or operational stalls to ensure an uninterrupted, smooth, and balanced workflow throughout the shift.
  • Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines:
  • Strictly execute all assigned tasks in full compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Uphold and follow the plant's operational guidelines, workplace protocols, quality standards, and overall company policies at all times.
  • Machine, Equipment, and Tool Operations Support:
  • Support the operation, handling, and basic functioning of machines, equipment, and production tools specific to the assigned plant department.
  • Ensure that machinery is operated safely and strictly according to defined operating parameters.
  • Operational Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
  • Assist shop-floor supervisors, line technicians, and manufacturing engineers in diagnosing, evaluating, and resolving routine operational and production-related problems.
  • Contribute to reducing downtime by actively helping implement quick and effective corrective actions on the line.
  • Quality Inspection and Defect Control:
  • Perform primary and routine quality inspections on manufactured components, parts, and sub-assemblies.
  • Identify visual irregularities, dimensional variations, and manufacturing defects early to isolate defective units and prevent non-conforming items from progressing to successive production stages.
  • Documentation, Log Maintenance, and Shift Reporting:
  • Accurately track, update, and maintain formal shop-floor records, including daily production figures, quality check sheets, shift logs, and inspection forms.
  • Ensure all quality data and line operational statistics are documented systematically as mandated by the plant's reporting procedures.
  • Incident, Abnormality, and Breakdown Escalation:
  • Continuously watch for irregular machine sounds, performance deviations, equipment breakdowns, or hazardous line conditions.
  • Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, or workplace safety risks to the designated shift supervisor and maintenance team.
  • Preventive Maintenance and Equipment Care:
  • Provide hands-on assistance during periodic and routine preventive maintenance activities on machinery and plant tools.
  • Maintain clean, hazard-free conditions around production equipment to support machinery health and extend operational lifespan.
  • 5S Implementation, Workplace Discipline, and Industrial Safety:
  • Implement and maintain 5S workplace management methodologies across the work area to keep the shop floor organized, clean, and efficient.
  • Adhere rigorously to industrial safety standards, workplace discipline, and the correct utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Cross-Functional Communication and Operational Coordination:
  • Coordinate closely and communicate clearly with machine operators, maintenance technicians, shift supervisors, and engineering leaders.
  • Foster teamwork and facilitate smooth line handovers between shifts to support seamless manufacturing operations.

  • Educational Background and Qualifications:
  • Must hold a completed regular Diploma in Engineering awarded by a recognized technical institute or university.
  • Open to all engineering branches, with opportunities across Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics / Electronics & Communication (ECE), Mechatronics, Production, Industrial, Instrumentation, or any other relevant diploma engineering discipline.
  • Experience Level and Target Demographic:
  • Designed specifically for fresher candidates and recently graduated Diploma Engineers who are seeking their first career opportunity in industrial manufacturing.
