Job summary

V Guard in Kerala, India invites an experienced mould development engineer to lead new mould projects from RFQ to production handover. You will review designs for manufacturability, prepare mould concepts, and coordinate with design, manufacturing, procurement and suppliers to drive tool development.

You will monitor mould manufacturing, run trials, analyze results, implement corrective actions, and maintain records.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of experience in injection mould development, mould manufacturing, or plastic product manufacturing.
• Knowledge of mould manufacturing process flow and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• New mould development projects from RFQ to production handover.
• Review product designs for manufacturability (DFM) and provide tooling recommendations.
• Prepare mould concepts, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers during tool development.
• Review mould designs and give recommendations
• Monitor & follow up with supplier for mould manufacturing.
• Track project milestones and ensure on time mould delivery.
• Plan and execute mould trials validation activities.
• Analyze trial results and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct Tool Audit at Moulding supplier location
• Monitor Preventive Maintenance of moulds. Give technical assistance to supplier
• Maintain mould development records, trial reports and technical documentation
