Job summary

CIEL HR Services in Tamil Nadu is seeking an Injection Molding Engineer to lead production tooling transitions, optimize cycle times, and troubleshoot processes in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years in injection moulding, a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Production Engineering, and proficiency in MS Word/Outlook/PowerPoint with strong English communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Understand engineering drawings for specified manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) preferred.
• Develop and document processes on existing moulds using systematic techniques.
• Lean implementation in Injection moulding tooling and productivity improvements.
• Assist in troubleshooting production processes and investigations of rejected parts.
• Perform DOEs for new moulds and productivity improvements.
• Train new process technicians and mould setup personnel.

About the job Injection Molding Engineer

General Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the implementation of the production of Injection moulding (Insert moulding). This includes transitioning new injection tooling programs, performing new mould and process improvement mould trials, and troubleshooting production. Also, it includes the identification of Automation and productivity improvement opportunities.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Understanding of engineering drawings for specified manufacturing processes.
• knowledge of 3D CAD software (e.g. Solidworks) is preferred.
• Ensures required process development information accompanies new tooling.
• Improves and documents processes on existing moulds, using established systematic techniques.
• Lean implementation in Injection moulding tools such as modular concept /
• Assists in troubleshooting production processes.
• Identifies key process parameters for process monitoring and control.
• Establishes process parameters for part diversion.
• Assists with investigations of rejected products and the development of corrective actions.
• Conducts D.O.E.s. for new moulds and productivity improvements.
• Conducts cycle improvement and regrind plastic material usage tests.
• Assists in training new process technicians and mould setup personnel.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 4~6 years of experience in Injection moulding and new plastic part development
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering
• Experience in dealing with Tool makers for correcting toolings
• Strong problem-solving techniques, analytical ability
• Working well with other departments and should be compatible for working with teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Good English verbal and written communication skills
