Job summary

Acros in Vadodara seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to create 3D models and 2D drawings for parts and tooling, and to design moulds and fixtures with the Tool Room.

The role requires strong CAD and GD&T skills, knowledge of manufacturability, and the ability to carry a part from concept through release, including BOM maintenance and process changes. Collaboration with Quality, Sales, and Tool Room is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical/Plastics/Production engineering.
• Strong CAD, 2D drafting and GD&T; understands how design choices affect manufacturability and cost.
• Experience with moulds/fixtures and tool trials; able to correct designs from real results.
• Disciplined with drawings, revisions and BOMs.
• Exposure to automotive OEM part development (PPAP/APQP) is a plus.
• Collaborative works well with Tool Room, Quality and Sales.
• Practical problem-solver who takes ownership of a part from concept to release.
