Job summary

Machino Plastics Limited is seeking a Tool Room Trainee with 6–12 months of hands-on experience in tool room assembly, tool manufacturing, and maintenance of plastic injection moulds. The role requires basic knowledge of mould components, fitting, assembly, dismantling, and preventive maintenance activities.

The candidate will assist in assembly, support toolmakers, and help inspect mould components, read drawings, and participate in preventive maintenance to ensure smooth production.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of experience in tool room assembly and tool manufacturing.
• Knowledge of mould components, fitting, assembly, dismantling, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembly and dismantling of plastic injection moulds.
• Support toolmakers in tool manufacturing, fitting, and finishing operations.
• Identify and understand mould components such as core, cavity, inserts, ejector pins, guide pins, bushes, and sliders.
• Assist in checking mould dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings and mould assembly drawings.
• Support preventive maintenance of injection moulds to ensure smooth production.
• Assist in identifying mould defects, wear, and damage during inspection.
• Support fitting, alignment, and trial activities after mould assembly or repair.
• Maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment in proper working condition.
• Maintain basic records of mould maintenance, repairs, and tool room activities.
