Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. in Maharashtra seeks a Quotation Specialist/Technical Sales Engineer to manage RFQs and prepare accurate quotes for global customers. You will work closely with Engineering, ETO, and Operations to ensure correct pump selection and timely responses.

Qualifications

• Education as Diploma / BE in Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics.
• 2–3 years professional experience as Quotation Specialist / Aftermarket Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer.
• Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret business and technical documents in English.
• Proficient in MS Office; Knowledge of SAP/ERP and CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFQs for replacement pumps and spare parts for domestic and international customers.
• Review and process customer inquiries in CRM with accurate entry and pre-delivery verification.
• Evaluate customer quotation requests from both technical and commercial perspectives, including testing and trade compliance.
• Create quotations in SAP and initiate the necessary approval workflows.
• Prepare customer offers based on pre-delivery information and coordinate with Engineering for correct pump selection.
• In cases where a direct replacement is not feasible, review deviations and communicate them clearly to the customer.
• Initiate and monitor the trade compliance process and obtain required documentation from the customer.
• Coordinate with Operations to confirm potential delivery timelines.
• Work closely with Engineering and ETO teams to resolve technical clarifications.
• Send offers to customers, address queries, and issue revised quotations when necessary.
• Follow up on offers with distributors and Area Sales Managers.

Job description

• Manage RFQs for replacement pumps and spare parts for both domestic and international customers, including intercompany requests.
• Review and process customer inquiries in CRM, ensuring accurate entry of requests and verification of pre-delivery references.
• Evaluate customer quotation requests from both technical and commercial perspectives, including requirements related to testing and trade compliance.
• Create quotations in SAP and initiate the necessary approval workflows, wherever applicable.
• Prepare customer offers based on pre-delivery information. For obsolete or modified products, or when customer requirements differ, perform hydraulic selection to identify the correct replacement pump. Coordinate with Engineering when needed to ensure accurate pump and motor selection.
• In cases where a direct (1:1) replacement is not feasible, review deviations and communicate them clearly to the customer.
• Initiate and monitor the trade compliance process, ensuring all required documentation is obtained from the customer in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with Operations (Order Management / Planning) to confirm potential delivery timelines.
• Work closely with Engineering and ETO teams to resolve technical clarifications.
• Send offers to customers, address open questions, respond to customer queries, and issue revised quotations when necessary.
• Follow up on offers in collaboration with distributors and Area Sales Managers.
• Ensure smooth order transfer and complete technical handover to Customer Service with all necessary documentation.
• Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Support the Technical Sales team in preparing SOPs and technical documentation as required.
• Address and resolve technical and commercial queries in coordination with internal teams.

Requirements :

Education, Experience & Skills:

• Education as Diploma / BE in Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics
• 2 to 3 years professional experience as Quotation Specialist / Aftermarket Engineer/ Technical Sales Engineer
• Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret business and technical documents in English.
