Engineer - Supplier Site Assessment

Job summary

Eaton is seeking an experienced engineer to lead SSA evaluation and closure, resolve supplier technical issues, and serve as the divisional SPOC. You will drive operational reviews, monitor QMS KPIs, and scale CI initiatives across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include reviewing SSA forms, coordinating with procurement and SQEs, and guiding suppliers through corrective actions while ensuring compliance with QMS procedures. A strong background in quality tools and internal audits is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BE/B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automotive / Production / Industrial.
• 8–10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Supplier audits.
• 4+ years of experience in Supplier process audits, Internal audits.
• Internal auditor certification (ISO, IATF, AS) and exposure to global customers & suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Assist on SSA queries, review SSA request forms and kick-off meetings with suppliers.
• Evaluate SSA questionnaires, identify gaps, risks and opportunities from supplier evidence.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified with supplier evidence.
• Maintain SSA documentation in compliance with Eaton QMS procedures.
• Coordinate with Commodity Managers, Buyers, SDEs and SQEs to resolve SSA-related issues.
• Lead Level-2 continuous improvement projects to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Act as SPOC for multiple sites/divisions and lead customer review meetings.
• Support SSA training for suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to QMS change management and process improvements.
