Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Pune, India is seeking a Senior Supplier Development professional to drive APQP/PPAP processes with global suppliers, ensuring flawless launches and continuous improvement across sites.

You will lead PPAP approvals, analyze supplier performance with SPC and GD&T, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and SCM to meet customer requirements and on-time closures.

Qualifications

  • BE in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 6–10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supplier Development and Quality.

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve supplier technical and/or system issues.
  • Analyze supplier issues using statistical tools for supplier improvement.
  • Implement measures to improve CAR/CAPA, process efficiency and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot closures in coordination with global stakeholders.
  • Assist in data analysis and business growth for supplier quality processes.
  • Coordinate between suppliers and internal functions to clarify requirements and improve closures.

Job description

What you’ll do:

Supplier Development of Mobility and Electrical parts with various suppliers as per Eaton standard requirements, APQP, PPAP completion and execute flaw‑less launch. Supplier improvement and maintain the supplier performance.

  1. Follow up, evaluate and work on the approval of PPAP from external and internal suppliers.
  2. Identify, investigate, and Resolve Supplier Technical and/or System issues related to product or process realization to have effective closures.
  3. Analyzes Supplier Issues, use of statistical and analytical tools for Supplier Improvement.
  4. Implement measures to improve CAR/CAPA, Process efficiency and engage Team to achieve Goals for on time closures.
  5. Trouble shoot flawless closures in coordination with global stakeholders.
  6. Assist in data analysis and business growth for various supplier Quality process.
  7. Anticipate customer requirements and provide customer centric solutions.
  8. Work as a co‑coordinator between suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify requirements, eliminate confusion, and improve closure lead time and accuracy.
  9. Understand customer requirement and quick turnaround time on adhoc requests.
  10. Monitor and communicate supplier performance of all key suppliers.
  11. Support and lead process transitions through on time and accurate documentation.
  12. Lead projects in team and act as SPOC for multiple sites and customers.
  13. Identify, investigate, and Resolve Supplier Technical and/or System issues related to product or process realization to have effective closures – Change managements and correlation issues.
  14. Ensure strong engagement with all affected site Quality, SQE, SDE, SCM, CM and Engineering team.
  15. Encourage & implement Continuous Improvement culture within team & at supplier end.
Qualifications:
  • BE in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 6–10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supplier Development and Quality.
Skills:
  • Experience in working with global customers and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of problem solving tools, APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, GD&T and AIAG.
  • Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Precision machining, Casting, Forging, Molding (as per sequence).
