Job summary

Ontrack HR Services Private Limited seeks a Mechanical engineer with 3–5 years of experience to lead supplier audits and ensure compliance with valve industry standards. You will perform supplier qualification, audits, and documentation per QMS, while coordinating with suppliers and customers.

The role requires NDE Level II certification, ISO lead auditor experience, and willingness to travel domestically to audit vendor sites.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of valve standards and material & testing standards.
• Qualified NDE Level II (VT, LPT, MPT, UT, RT) as per ASNT.
• Lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015 (ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 preferable).
• Knowledge of PED, CRN, ASME S-stamp, API and other certifications for valve industry.
• Knowledge in Nuclear Valves (preferred).
• Experience in domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Supplier qualification & development; conduct supplier audits (process, system, product) per ASME, API, ISO.
• Perform periodic supplier audits (foundries, forging units, machining vendors, coating vendors).
• Review WPS/PQR qualifications and other weld documents and communicate requirements to supplier.
• Drive supplier green channel programs to improve lead times.
• Review Supplier PPM/NCR/CAPA and communicate via supplier index to drive improvements.
• Lead RCA/CAPA using 8D and other methodologies.
• Handle customer TPI inspections and audits against certification bodies and customers.
• Maintain documents per QMS & company policy.
• Ensure compliance to PED, SIL and other notified bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Qualification & Development Conduct supplier audits (process, system, product audits) (Compliance to ASME,API,ISO)
• Perform periodic supplier audits (foundries, forging units, machining vendors, coating vendors)
• Review WPS/PQR qualifications and other weld documents of supplier and communicate requirements to supplier.
• Work on Supplier green channel program to improve the lead time.
• Review Supplier PPM /NCR/CAPA and effective communication to supplier though supplier index and work towards supplier improvement program (PPM Reduction).
• Lead RCA /CAPA through effective 8D and other suitable methodology.
• Experience in handling customer TPI Inspections and Audit against certification bodies and customer
• Ensure all documents are maintained as per QMS & company policy.
• Ensure compliance to all statutory audits like PED,SIL and other support notified bodies

Requirements

• Strong Knowledge in Valve Standards and Material & Testing Standards - ASME (II,VIII,XI) , ASTM, API, EN, IS & BS Standards
• Qualified NDE level - II in VT, LPT, MPT, UT, RT as per ASNT
• Qualified Lead auditor for ISO 9001 : 2015 (ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001 : 2018 preferable)
• Knowledge on PED, CRN, ASME S- stamp, API & other certifications w.r.t valve Industry
• Preferred to have knowledge in Nuclear Valves

• Education qualification: B.E / B Tech – Mechanical.
