Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an experienced GM/AVP - Quality to establish and maintain the Quality Management System for pressure vessel fabrication and industrial manufacturing in Asangaon. You will lead internal audits, CAPA, and documentation, reporting to the VP of Manufacturing.

You will drive process quality planning, NDT/Welding QC, and cross-functional coordination with Production, Engineering, Procurement and Projects teams to ensure compliance with ISO 9001/14001/45001, PED, ASME codes, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 15+ years of experience.
• Minimum 10 years in pressure vessel fabrication and minimum 5 years in QA leadership.
• Mandatory ASME code stamping experience and certified ISO 9001:2015 auditor.
• Strong QMS implementation and internal auditing expertise.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the QMS as per requirements.
• Plan and conduct internal audits across departments and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare annual/monthly Internal Audit Plans, checklists, and audit reports.
• Identify process gaps, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.
• Verify implementation and effectiveness of CAPA.
• Coordinate and support customer, certification and third-party audits.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities.
• Monitor QMS performance through quality KPIs and management reports.
• Prepare, review and approve PQP, ITP, Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.
• Review contract specifications and ensure quality requirements are incorporated into project documentation.
• Participate in Project KOM/PIM meetings.
• Conduct process audits across raw material receipt, fabrication, welding, NDT, hydrostatic testing, and final inspection.
• Coordinate with QC teams, client inspectors, and third-party inspection agencies.
• Review and ensure compliance of WPS, PQR, and WPQ as per ASME Section IX.
• Monitor welder qualifications and performance.
• Ensure material identification and traceability.
• Monitor welding processes such as GTAW.
• Ensure documentation is complete and available for audits and certification.
• Review NCRs, perform RCA, implement CAPA, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead QA/QC engineers and inspectors; provide training on QMS and audit procedures.

Role: GM/AVP - Quality

Reporting to: VP MANUFACTURING.

Job Location – Asangaon

Preface:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager / Internal Auditor to establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for pressure vessel fabrication and industrial manufacturing activities.

The candidate will be responsible for internal audits, QMS compliance, quality planning, process audits, corrective actions, documentation, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, PED 2014/68/EU, ASME codes, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

1.Quality Management System & Internal Audit

• Maintain and continuously improve the QMS as per requirements.
• Plan and conduct internal audits across departments and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare annual/monthly Internal Audit Plans, checklists, and audit reports.
• Identify process gaps, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.
• Verify implementation and effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate and support customer, certification and third-party audits.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities.
• Monitor QMS performance through quality KPIs and management reports.

2. Project & Process Quality Planning

• Prepare, review and approve:
• Project Quality Plans (PQP)
• Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
• Method Statements
• Quality Procedures (NDT Procedures/Painting procedures/ Welding Procedure etc)
• Review contract specifications and ensure quality requirements are incorporated into project documentation.
• Participate in Project KOM/PIM meetings.

3. Quality Control & Process Audits

• Conduct process audits covering:
• Raw material receipt and traceability
• Fit-up and fabrication
• Welding & NDT Acti
• Dimensional inspection
• NDT activities
• Hydrostatic testing
• Final inspection
• Ensure compliance with approved procedures, drawings, specifications and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with QC teams, client inspectors, and third-party inspection agencies.

4. Welding & Fabrication Quality

• Review and ensure compliance of WPS, PQR, and WPQ as per ASME Section IX.
• Monitor welder qualifications and performance.
• Ensure material identification and complete traceability.
• Monitor welding processes such as GTAW.

5. Documentation & Quality Records

• Ensure proper document control and maintenance of quality records.
• Review and control:
• Manufacturing Data Books (MDB)
• Dossiers
• MDR – Manufacturer’s Data Report
• As-built documentation
• Inspection and test records
• Material traceability records
• Ensure documentation is complete and available for audits and certification.

6. Non-Conformance & Continuous Improvement

• Review and control NCRs and ensure timely closure.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for quality issues.
• Implement and monitor CAPA.
• Identify recurring quality issues and initiate preventive measures.
• Drive continuous improvement, process improvement, and quality awareness initiatives.

7. Team & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Lead and guide QA/QC engineers and inspectors.
• Provide training on QMS, internal audit procedures, quality requirements, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Procurement and Projects teams.
• Ensure quality requirements are effectively communicated across departments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (with 15yrs experience.)
• 10 years in pressure vessel fabrication.
• Minimum 5 years in QA leadership role.
• Experience in ASME code stamping environment is mandatory.
• Strong experience in QMS implementation and Internal Auditing

Mandatory:

• Certified Auditor – ISO 9001:2015
• ASNT Level II RT UT PT VT MPT

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Valve manufacturing / pressure vessel fabrication / Fittings & Forgings/ industrial manufacturing / engineering companies.
