Job summary

IMI plc in Chennai invites an Engineer/Sr. Engineer – Quality Documentation to join its global process automation team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality requirements of products and processes meet customer specifications and company standards.

You will handle quality documents such as ITP, JOR, NOE, and related procedures, collaborate with Project Engineering, and ensure all documents are maintained per OMS. Strong writing, communication, and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Role requires understanding quality documentation and standards.
• Experience with ITP, JOR, NOE and related procedures is preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review customer order requirements and project specs for quality.
• Apply ITP, JOR, NOE and related procedures to projects.
• Coordinate with Project Engineering to ensure quality.
• Submit Manufacturing Quality documents per agreement.
• Capture lessons learned and apply improvements.
• Support inside sales with documentation queries on quality.
• Work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to meet quality.
• Knowledge of valve industry standards (ASME/EN) is beneficial.
• Handle customer inspections and document responses.
• Maintain all documents per OMS and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Go through complete customer order requirements, PR and other specifications
• Understand the Quality Documents like ITP, JOR (Job Quality Requirements), NOE & Other Procedures, Material Standard specification inline to Project requirements.
• Work closely with Project Engineering on complaining the quality
• Submit Manufacturing Quality documents to customer as per the agreed
• Lessons Learnt to be captured and it should be followed in every
• Support Inside sales for pre/post-inspection/documentation queries and documents r.t quality.
• Work closely with cross functional team & supplier and ensure the project quality requirements thru
• Knowledge of various testing and material standards with respect to valve industry (ASME/EN)
• Customer inspection handling
• Knowledge of various certification
• Knowledge of digitalisation in documentation and strong appetite for the
• Ensure all documents are maintained as per OMS & company

Critical Competencies for Success

• Strong Knowledge in Valve Standards and Material & Testing Standards- ASME, ASTM, API, EN, IS & BS Standards
• Knowledge on PED, CRN, S-stamp, API & other certifications r.t valve Industry
• Preferred to have knowledge in Nuclear Valves
• Knowledge in MS Office
• Education qualification: E / B Tech - Mechanical.
• Experience: 2 - 3 Years
• Must possess good writing and communication
• Business communication
• Interpersonal skills
