Job summary

ACG World in Maharashtra seeks an Automation Engineer to create master PLC programs, develop IEC61131 compliant code, and drive standardization for the project automation team. You will test, release, and maintain PLC/VFD/Servo software for the machine portfolio and coordinate with vendors.

You will author SOPs, conduct trainings, and ensure 21CFR Part-11/ GAMP5 knowledge is shared. Education: BE in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation with 3–5 years’ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in PLC programming, SCADA, and electrical hardware selection.
• Experience with Mitsubishi and B&R PLC, Zenon Software, and motion control is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience in control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design control architecture and PLC/SCADA software per requirements.
• Develop Master Application Program in PLC for products per IEC61131.
• Ensure thorough testing with first-time-right release to operations.
• Design, create, and test PLC Level 1 module software for product codes.
• Test servo drive and release product code for servo and PLC Level 1 modules.
• Test VFD and release VFD settings via PLC Level 1 modules.
• Develop PLC Level 2&3 code; servo, VFD, and interfaces for the ACGE portfolio.
• Coordinate testing, release, and version control for PLC/VFD/Servo software.
• Update SOPs and conduct training; ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical solutions; promote knowledge Sharing.

Job Objective-

Responsible for creating Master PLC Automation Programs by following company guidelines and international Standards to drive standardization and to support the project automation team in achieving FTR

Primary responsibilities-

Functional

Core:

• Responsible for Control Architecture design, and PLC/ HMI/ SCADA software programming as per requirement.
• Responsible for developing Master Application Program in PLC for products as per IEC61131 compliant programming language
• To Ensure thorough testing and a first-time-right approach before releasing the software program to operation and manufacturing teams
• Responsible for design, creation, and testing of PLC Level 1 module software code; in order to release Product code PLC Level 1 modules.
• Responsible for design, creation, and testing of Servo drive, to release Product code for Servo drive & PLC level 1 modules.
• Responsible for design, creation, and testing of VFD, to release Product code & VFD setting via PLC level 1 modules.
• Responsible for design and creation of product code PLC Level 2 & 3; Servo , VFD and interfaces in order to release Product code PLC, Servo , VFD and Interfaces for the ACGE machine portfolio
• Responsible for synchronized Master care for testing, releasing and version control for PLC, VFD, Servo Drive software code
• Responsible for authoring, updating SOPs, Automation software company standards, and ensuring awareness by conducting training sessions.
• Coordinate with controls system (PLC & SCADA) vendors for developing technical solutions for ACG.
• Drive knowledge sharing of GAMP5, Validation and 21CFR Part-11 regulations & requirements.

Internal process

• Co-ordinate with Master, Operation and NPD teams for the change control process to meet the delivery requirements.
• Responsible for working closely with Masters team to support in resolving technical queries and writing master PLC code

• Attending the identified training needs and delivering results.
• Resolve workplace problem in the area of expertise.

Educational and Experience Requirements
