Job summary

Lead Hr Services is seeking a Manufacturing Senior Engineer in Tamil Nadu to lead development of processes and equipment for new products. The role requires 5–8 years of Tier 1 automotive experience and a strong background in process controls and tooling.

You will collaborate with cross-functional and global teams, perform feasibility assessments, and manage capital expenditures for new programs while ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mech or ECE with 5–8 years in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with multiple customers and cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setup.
• Strong knowledge of cycle time studies, OEE, line balancing, SMED and Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Develop new processes and equipment for manufacturing new products with robust process controls.
• Develop proto tools for building prototypes for customers.
• Assess manufacturing feasibility on assembly processes and define capital/tooling needs for RFQs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional and global teams through MSO reviews.
• Manage capital, tooling and startup spending and monitor results.

Qualification - B.E/B.Tech

Experience - 5 to 8 Yrs

Location - kakkalur

Salary - 8 to 10 LPA

Key responsibilities

Responsible for Development new process and equipment and toolings required for

manufacturing new products with robust process controls.

Responsible for Develop proto tools required for building prototype required for Customer.

Responsible for conducting manufacturing feasibility assessment on assembly process and

provide capital and change over tooling’s requirements on new product RFQs by coordinating

with cross functional team and global team through MSO review.

Responsible for adherence of forecasted capital, tooling and startup spending.

Responsible for carrying out capacity analysis for assembly process

Responsible for development of new assembly equipment as per BorgWarner standard and

carryout installations, conduct runoff trials, monitor results and handover.

Responsible for Improving current assembly process to global standards in terms of

productivity, Scrap/PPM, Safety, Poke yoke controls, Process capability bench marking other

plants.

Extend technical support for production and quality on Critical line stoppages and Customer

complaint issues related to assembly process.

Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled systems such as Mitsubishi, Siemens, Omron and

Allen Bradley platforms

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mech, ECE with 5 - 8 years of work experience in Tier 1 OEM automotive, manufacturing environment with multiple customers.
• Core Tool Exposures such as Flow diagram, FMEA/ MSA/Work instructions/SPC/PDCA/ Control Chart / QC tools / 5 Why / 3W1H / 8D/Cause & effect diagram / Pareto Chart /
• Must have knowledge on Cycle time Study, OEE, Line balancing, SMED, Kanban, lean basics.
• Cross Functional experience.
• Strong exposure on Shop Floor practices & Implementation of Six Sigma
• Male
