Job summary

Sansera Engineering in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Production Planning professional to manage end-to-end planning, demand forecasting, and SIOP coordination. You will drive MPS, manage customer orders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory.

The role requires 5–6 years of ERP/SAP PP exposure, strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to balancing demand with supply, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • BE, Diploma, or B.Tech in a relevant field.
  • 5–6 years hands-on ERP/SAP PP experience.
  • Strong analytical ability for demand planning and forecasting.
  • Good understanding of MPS, MRP, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • AS9100 QMS and documentation awareness.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary contact to capture, analyze, load, and manage customer demand within agreed turnaround time.
  • Ensure the Customer Order Acceptance process is followed in alignment with SIOP.
  • Lead, create, and obtain approval for the strategic Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Review and update demand forecasts monthly as part of the SIOP cycle.
  • Generate and maintain weekly/monthly SIOP and KPIs.
  • Maintain line of balance during project execution to avoid delays in machining, raw material procurement, and delivery of assemblies.
  • Coordinate subcontracting activities with the SCM department.
  • Utilize ERP/SAP PP Module for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and ensure updated and accurate MPS.
  • Support development and implementation of strategies aligning commercial, supply, and financial planning.
  • Assist in managing the MRP system and mitigating material-related risks.
  • Manage strategic inventory buffers and ensure optimum coverage for all customers.
  • Contribute to effective inventory management practices to minimize shortages and excesses.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen events.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of MIS and performance indicators.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive action strategies with Operations.

Job description

To manage end-to-end production planning and control activities by ensuring accurate demand forecasting, customer order management, maintaining Master Production Schedule (MPS), coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting SIOP processes to achieve delivery, inventory, and operational excellence.

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY

Qualification:

  • BE/Diploma/B. Tech or any relevant field

Experience:

  • 5-6 years
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP PP Module.
  • Strong analytical ability for demand planning and forecasting.
  • Good understanding of MPS, MRP, and inventory management concepts.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
  • Knowledge of AS documentation and audit requirements.
  • AS9100 QMS and Documentation awareness.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
