Job summary

ACG World in Shirwal, Maharashtra, is seeking a Senior Engineer / Engineer MFG Purchasing to lead procurement for machining, casting and forging parts. You will manage supplier selection, pricing, and delivery performance, coordinating with engineering, quality, PPC and design teams to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong negotiation, vendor management and TCO expertise, with hands-on experience in SAP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Procurement and planning for machining, casting and forging parts.
• Track procurement activities from MRP run to GIN.
• Develop a capable supplier base with strong alignment.
• Negotiate and drive cost reductions via value engineering.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders; follow up for on-time material receipt.
• Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, quality to generate VAVE ideas.
• Coordinate with Assembly to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Coordinate with PPC and Design for improved procurement.
• Handle commodities like casting, machining and plastic moulded parts.
• Maintain vendor delivery performance data and address issues proactively.
• Plan supplier capacity in line with material requirements and escalations.

We have an opportunity in ACG Engineering for a Senior Engineer / Engineer MFG Purchasing .

• Job Objective

Maintain and improve the OTDIF of parts with reduction in OLR, Procurement lead time & material cost in order to achieve top line & bottom line target

• Primary responsibilities
• Material Procurement and Planning for Machining, Casting and Forging parts
• Tracking entire Procurement Activities from MRP run to GIN.
• Responsible to develop responsive & capable supplier base by building strong alignment with Suppliers.
• Negotiation and cost reduction by value engineering methods
• Making PO and follow up with supplier to get material in time.
• Work continuously with all stake holders like suppliers, engineering, quality, etc. to generate good pipe line of VAVE ideas
• Co-ordination with Assembly Department for resolving the day to day issues.
• Co-ordination with PPC and Design for better product procurement.
• Expected to have experience in commodities like casting , machining & plastic moulded parts
• Maintain vendor delivery performance data. Be proactive in addressing performance issues
• Supplier Capacity Planning wrt material requirement and timely escalations in case of gaps.

• Awareness of manufacturing processes for Machining ,Casting Process ,Heat Treatment, and Fabrication .Can be from a manufacturing background with hands on experience in machining and fabrication.
