Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Bengaluru seeks a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Transmission Systems (Hybrids and eDrives) to design and develop Gearbox architectures for automotive applications. You will work on eDrive, AWD/4WD concepts and submodules with a focus on reliability and performance.

The role requires 3–8 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of gearbox architectures, lubrication, cooling, NVH and system-level integration.

Qualifications

• Well-founded technical education (university degree) in Mechanical / Electrical / Automotive / Control / Mechatronics.
• 3–8 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Good knowledge on Gearbox Architecture of eDrive, AWD/4WD.
• Understanding on sub modules like Parklock, Decoupler, eLSD, Shift Unit, Clutches, Oil Pumps, Sensors and Actuators.
• Understanding of Lubrication/Cooling, NVH, Durability/Reliability, EMC, Thermal Management.
• DVP, Test-Management, Measurement technology of Gearbox.
• System level understanding of eDrive, AWD/4WD.
• Understanding on Driving Dynamics.
• Know-how of the efficiency calculation and functional simulation.
