Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Bengaluru is seeking an Engineer Shift System to contribute to the design, validation, and documentation of synchronizer and shifting components. You will work on 3D/2D CAD, drawings, and calculations to ensure quality and robustness across the development cycle.

The role requires a university degree in mechanical or mechatronics disciplines and 3–8 years of experience in related fields. Collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers is essential in this position.

Qualifications

• University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or similar domain with a specialization in mechanical or electrical systems.
• 3-8 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
• Experience with design, drawings, and calculations for mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design (3D, 2D, materials) for shift system components and assemblies.
• Coordinate integration through meetings, change management, and FMEA.
• Create and update drawings for change management and new design.
• Perform strength, fatigue, robustness, and tolerance calculations.
• Collaborate with plant and supplier on manufacturing processes and deviations.
