Engineer Clutch & Decoupling

Job Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Transmission Systems (Hybrids and eDrives), with a focus on the design and development of Gearbox for automotive applications. The ideal applicant should have an extensive knowledge of Catia V5 and in‑depth understanding of Gearbox and components such as Clutches, Parklock, Shift System, etc.

Major Responsibilities

• Design (3D, 2D, materials, ...)
• Drawings – Create and update drawings for change management and new design
• Calculation & Simulation – Calculations performed by component engineers
• Plant & Supplier – Collaboration in terms of manufacturing process and deviations, quality and robustness

Skills & Competencies

• Modify drawings according to instructions
• Derive drawings from existing designs in CAD
• Create and implement design concepts in CAD
• Deep and comprehensive understanding of the function of wet clutches and wet dual clutches in terms of specification, manufacturing and assembly details (examples include deviations, quality, robustness)
• Perform calculations related to strength, fatigue, robustness and tolerance analysis

Educational Qualifications

University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a similar domain with a specialization in mechanical or electrical systems.

Work Experience

3–8 years of professional experience working in the relevant field.

Tools Knowledge

• Catia
• MS‑Office, Excel, PPT
• Simulation tool for strength calculation (e.g., Kissoft)
• SAP/PLM
