Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC Vizag invites applications for a project manager to lead naval system projects. You will plan and execute detailed project plans, ensure quality, coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and manage shipyard installation and commissioning activities.

Diploma in Engineering with 6–9 years of experience in naval defence systems, I&C, preventive maintenance, and defect rectification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering is required for the role.
• 6-9 years of experience in naval/defence projects is preferred.
• Strong communication and technical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle project management of Naval systems with responsibilities including planning, execution, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines and resources.
• Ensure quality of deliverables and alignment with organizational goals.
• Participate in dispatch activities, JRI and liaise with suppliers.
• Coordinate site activities for installation, commissioning and site support.
• Maintain regular updates on project progress and address issues promptly.
• Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems of naval defence.
• Work within defence shipyard environments and ensure compliance.
• Exposure to I&C, preventive maintenance and defect rectification.

• Project Planning & Execution : Develop detailed project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required for successful project execution.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and align with organizational goals.
• Participation in Dispatch activities , JRI
• Supplier & Cross functional Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for cross functional or supplier, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns that arise.
• Team Coordination: Assemble and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
