Job summary

XSub Robotics is seeking an Embedded Hardware Design Engineer to help build rugged underwater vehicle electronics. You will design hardware architectures, develop firmware for AVR/ARM MCUs, and validate hardware in demanding sea trials.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, prepare BOMs, manage vendors, and ensure robust testing and documentation using MS Office. Minimum 2 years in EE hardware design is required; BE/BTech preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronics preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of hardware design experience in EE domain.
• Experience with embedded and power electronics hardware bring‑up.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware architecture for embedded electronics, power electronics, and communications systems.
• Perform circuit design, simulation, and basic thermal analysis.
• Develop firmware for AVR/ARM microcontrollers using appropriate IDEs.
• Create BOMs, reports, manuals, and manage inventory & vendor relations.
• Carry out hardware bring‑up, validation, and testing.
• Soldering and testing of OEM hardware used in ROV/AUV.
• Maintain good MS Office documentation and communication.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support in the design and development of hardware architecture of Embedded electronics, Power electronics, and communication systems
• Perform circuit design, simulation, and basic thermal analysis for electronic systems.
• Develop and support firmware for microcontrollers (AVR/ARM) using relevant IDEs and programming languages.
• Market survey of Product, BOM preparation, Reports & Manual Preparation, and Inventory & Vendor Management
• Hands‑on experience in embedded and power electronics, including hardware bring‑up and validation.
• Familiarity with electronic components, testing and measuring equipment.
• Soldering and Testing of OEM hardware’s used in ROV and AUV
• Good hands‑on skills in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
• Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• 5S and Safety at EE laboratory & Assembly workshop
