Job summary

L&T Precision Engineering and Systems is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join the AUV Design Team in Mumbai. You will own the electrical architecture end-to-end for AUV platforms, including power distribution, battery integration, propulsion drives, and actuator controls.

Ideal candidates will have deep experience with marine-grade electrical systems, motor controllers, and sensor-actuator loops, plus familiarity with MIL-STD and IEC standards, subsea connectors, EMI/EMC, and

Qualifications

• Familiarity with marine/ defence standards (MIL-STD, IEC) and environmental hardening including subsea connectors, cabling, and EMI/EMC compliance.
• Proven skills in system requirement engineering, development of functional and logical diagrams, architecture allocation, system integration, safety engineering, FMEA, and fail-safe design.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of electrical architecture for AUV platforms and related subsystems.

Job description

Seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our AUV Design Team. The role involves end to end ownership of electrical architecture, including power system design, battery integration, propulsion drives and actuator controls.

Candidates should have strong expertise in marine grade/ mobility electrical and power distribution systems, motor controllers, and sensor actuator loops. Knowledge of communication systems such as acoustic modems, SATCOM, RF and internal networking protocols (Ethernet, CAN, RS485) is essential.

The position requires familiarity with marine/ defence standars (MIL-STD, IEC) and environmental hardening practices including subsea connectors, cabling, and EMI/ EMC compliance. Successful candidates will demonstrate proven skills in system requirement engineering, development of functional and logical diagrams, architecture allocation, system integration, safety engineering, FMEA, and fail safe design to ensure robust, mission capable AUV platforms.
