Job summary

Stovekraft, Bengaluru, is seeking an Executive/Engineer – Electrical Maintenance to ensure smooth operation of electrical systems and production machinery. You will perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot complex electrical faults, and drive improvement efforts across electrical panels and drives.

The role requires 3–8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, with strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical safety practices.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering required.
  • 3–8 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems, safety standards, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot faults in machines, control panels, motors, drives, PLCs, sensors and circuits.
  • Monitor HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, MCC/PCC panels, APFC panels, UPS and other electrical systems.
  • Ensure timely maintenance of production machinery and utility equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments for planned maintenance activities.
  • Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare consumption and equipment history.

Position: Executive / Engineer – Electrical Maintenance
Department: Engineering & Maintenance
Location: Harohalli, Bengaluru
Reporting To: Manager – Maintenance / Plant Head

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of all electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and utilities in the plant. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical safety, and minimizing machine downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults in machines, control panels, motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and electrical circuits.
  • Monitor and maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, MCC/PCC panels, APFC panels, UPS, and other electrical systems.
  • Ensure timely maintenance of production machinery and utility equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical installations and identify potential failures.
  • Maintain electrical systems as per safety standards and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments for planned maintenance activities.
  • Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare consumption, and equipment history.
  • Ensure availability of critical electrical spares and coordinate with stores/purchase for replenishment.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machines and electrical systems.
  • Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root-cause and corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper earthing, cable management, electrical protection, and housekeeping in electrical areas.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized electrical maintenance.
  • Support energy-saving initiatives and monitor electrical power consumption.
  • Ensure compliance with PPE, LOTO, electrical safety procedures, and plant safety policies.
  • Guide and supervise electricians/technicians during maintenance activities.

Qualification

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Experience

  • 3–8 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing/automobile/kitchen-appliance industry.
  • Experience in handling industrial electrical systems and production machinery is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of PLC, VFD, motors, control panels, sensors, and automation systems.
  • Good understanding of HT/LT electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical safety and statutory compliance.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts and handle breakdown/emergency situations.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
