Job summary

Protec in Rajkot is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance professional to oversee maintenance of electrical systems, troubleshoot PLC-based issues, and drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs. The role requires hands-on repair, calibration, and documentation to ensure high machine uptime.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in industrial electrical maintenance, with Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and solid experience with motors, drives, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Strong practical experience candidates will be preferred.
• 7–10 years in industrial electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Attend and resolve electrical breakdowns in production machines and utilities.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime through quick fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Maintain and repair electrical control panels, MCCs, drives, and distribution systems.
• Monitor and ensure proper functioning of all plant electrical systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all machines and equipment.
• Identify potential failures and take corrective actions in advance.
• Support condition monitoring and predictive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults in motors, drives, sensors, relays, contactors, and control circuits.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components efficiently.
• Maintain and troubleshoot field instruments such as sensors, encoders, limit switches, proximity switches, and temperature controllers.
• Verify safety interlocks and machine protection systems.
• Maintain plant utilities such as compressors, DG sets, transformers, and power distribution systems.
• Support machine modification and electrical improvement projects.
• Participate in energy-saving initiatives and cost reduction activities.
• Contribute to Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement programs.
• Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and relocation.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records and breakdown reports.
• Update machine history cards and maintenance logs.

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer – Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems, machines, and utilities in the plant. The role includes breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical and control systems, and supporting automation-related activities to improve machine uptime, reliability, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance

• Attend and resolve electrical breakdowns in production machines and utilities.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime through quick fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Maintain and repair electrical control panels, MCCs, drives, and distribution systems.
• Monitor and ensure proper functioning of all plant electrical systems.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Ensure proper restoration of machines after breakdown.

Instrumentation & Controls

Utility Maintenance
