Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Pune, India is seeking a cost-out focused engineer to analyze commercial and technical data of electrical components and assemblies. The role supports cost-out, resiliency, and NPI projects by leveraging engineering data, product design knowledge, and data analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years (or 2 years with a Master’s) of relevant experience, with exposure to LV/MV products and supplier collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years with a Master’s degree.
• Hands-on design and development of LV/MV electrical products and subsystems.
• Experience on cost-out projects and exposure to SCM.
• Ability to manage large datasets and collaborate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial and technical data of electrical components to identify cost-out opportunities (resourcing, negotiation, VAVE).
• Collaborate cross-functionally to execute cost-out, NPI, and resiliency projects.
• Propose solutions, communicate clearly, and ensure alignment with standards (UL, IEC).
• Create data banks for specified electrical products and work with contract engineers.
• Support data improvement, engineering data libraries, and ideation for new project opportunities.
• Engage with Should-Costing, Sourcing, TCO, and plant buyers to drive cost-out initiatives.

What You’ll Do

"The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze commercial, technical data of electrical components and assemblies, for genereating,supporting and executing differnt type of cost out, resiliency projects. It also requires contributing towards development and execution of categorywise strategies, in close colloboration with various cross functional teams like Global procurement organization, product development teams, product line managing teams,global sourcing teams and suppliers across the globe. The incumbent would be responsible for Engineering data improvement for various Electrical components or sub assemblies asscoiated with LV, MV products and contribute in data libraries development."

"The Incumbent also need to contribute in reducing new product development times, by suggesting cost effective and technically comptabile products from strategic suppliers of the category. The applicant should have capability to leverage data analytics, fundamentals of engineering, knolwledge of product design and development & ideation principles to create new project opportunities."

• Data analysis, utilizing technical and commerical information and expertize, for Generating cost out opportunities- Resourcing, Negotiation and VAVE.
• Cross functional collobration for executing the cost out,NPI and resiliecny projects.
• Understanding the requirements, proposing best possible solutions and communicating clearly
• Familar with Standards(UL, IEC), preperation of test plans and validating
• Data banks creation for specified Electrical products, working with contractual engineers
• Conceptual or theoretical activities related to fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, physics,product design and development knowledge for ideas creation and execution
• Colloboration with various teams like Should Costing, Sourcing, TCO, plant buyers etc., teams
• Colloborating with supplier and internal customers for executing the cost out projects
• Conducting brainstorming sessions and comptetior products benchmarking, in colloboration with cross functional teams to generate cost out ideas.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s/Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

3+years of experience with Bachelors degree or 2 Years of experience with Masters degree.

Skills

Hands on experience on design and development of Electrical products and subsystems of - LV/MV.

Experience on Cost out projects, ability to handle multiple projects and exposure to SCM.

Experience on managing large data, data analysis, colloboration with different teams.
