Job summary

Eaton Group in Pune is seeking an engineer to analyze commercial and technical data for electronic components, PCB gerbers, and assemblies, to support cost-out, resiliency, and NPI initiatives. You will collaborate with Global Procurement, product development teams and suppliers worldwide to improve electronics data libraries and drive data-driven cost reductions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spend data to identify gaps for cost-out across electronics components and PCBAs.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide cost-out and resiliency projects with Global Procurement Leaders and engineers.
• Improve engineering data for electronics components and contribute to data libraries development.
• Drive productivity via supplier consolidations and data improvements to avoid part proliferation.
• Apply basic engineering tools and creative thinking for component selection and PCB fabrication considerations.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, product teams and suppliers to resolve DFM/DFT issues.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships for smooth execution of strategies.
• Generate ideas to support cost-out, resiliency, and NPIs.
• Understand hardware devices, components operating principles, schematics and interfaces.
• Knowledge of PCB layout, fabrication, product design, testing and validation.

Job description

What you\'ll do:

"The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze commercial, technical data of electronic components, PCB gerbers and assemblies for generating and supporting different type of cost out, resiliency and NPI projects. It also requires executing category wise strategies, in close collaboration with various cross functional teams like Global procurement organization, product development teams and suppliers across the globe. The incumbent would be responsible for Engineering data improvement for Electronics Components and contribute in data libraries development.The Incumbent also need to contribute in Cost Out or Resiliency Improvement Initiatives, by suggesting cost effective and technically compatible products from strategic suppliers of the category. The applicant should have capability to leverage data analytics & ideation principles to create new project opportunities. The incumbent needs to have knowledge of requirements related to electrical, electronic products development."

1. Analyze spend data for finding out gap for cost out in different type Electronics Components and, PCBAs etc.,
2. 2\.\ Contribute in building strategies to drive enterprise-wide cost-out & resiliency projects for category, working along with Global Procurement Leaders, Engineering counterparts and Supply Chain team team.
3. 3\.\ Engineering data Improvement for Electronics category (components, PCB and Box build components).
4. 4\.\ Drive productivity by supplier consolidations, key data improvements & avoiding part proliferation.
5. 5\.\ Demonstrates the application of basic Engineering tools/ principles and evidence of creative thinking through component selection, PCB Fabrication knowledge, preliminary validation through simulations or engineering analytics.
6. 6\.\ Confers with manufacturing, Product teams, suppliers to resolve Design for Manufacturing, Design for Testing, Design for Assembly issues.
7. 7\.\ Builds strong relationships with Stakeholder for easy execution of strategies.
8. 8\.\ Generate new ideas and solution to gain cost out, resiliency and support NPIs.
9. 9\.\ Understanding on electronic devices-hardware, Component working Principle, schematic, interfaces.
10. 10\.\ Good knowledge on PCB layout, PCB Fabrication, product design, testing & validation.
11. 11\.\ Having knowledge on products of multi discipline: PCB layout, gerbers and fabrication, Electronic, Electrical, and Mechanical would be preferred.

Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s in Electronics/E&TC

1. Total relevant work experience: BE/B-Tech - 0-3 years

Skills:

1. Understanding of electronic component specifications, lifecycles, and industry standards, PCB fabrication, gerbers.
2. Awareness of applicable standards and environmental compliances - IEC / UL / ISO / RoHS / REACH etc.
3. Sound knowledge on spend data analysis.

Strong knowledge of electronic component selection, understanding specifications, lifecycles,ability to read schematic and circuit diagrams, PCB layout, fabrication, gerbers, and industry standards. Hands on expertise in Silicon Expert and in Schematic and PCB CAD tools like OrCAD, Altium, Mentor Graphics, CAM350 and other leading tools in market.

Strong knowledge in finding out gaps for electronic cost out on products.

Good to have experience of Design, testing and validation of various Hardware products.
