Job summary

alfanar in Chennai, India is seeking a Project Cost Controller to manage cost control practices across project lifecycles. You will develop cash flows, forecasts, and tender budgets using SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

The role requires strong analytical skills to monitor expenditures, identify overruns, and implement cost-saving strategies that maximise project profitability. Collaboration with finance and other departments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure complying policies and guidelines to establish appropriate cost control practices for the company.
• Create and maintain updated project cash flows and forecasting reports based on trend analysis.
• Create project cost structures/breakdowns (tender budget) on SAP for ensuring the implementation of cost control procedure.
• Reconcile/analyze the project budget revisions closely with Finance department, increasingly in a consultancy role for verification of estimates (Actual Cost, Plan POC, Actual POC etc.).
• Analyzing project requirements and preparing the detailed Estimate to Complete.
• Monitoring and tracking project costs to ensure they align with the budget.
• Identifying and reporting potential cost overruns in a timely manner and using forecasting tools to anticipate future expenditures.
• Developing and implementing cost saving strategies to maximize project profitability.
• Analyze project cost reports & establish reporting frequency on project-to-project stakeholders based on criticality of deliverables on daily/ weekly/ monthly basis.
• Co-ordination with other department for accuracy/Development of Dashboard reports.
• Analyze Project cost & establish reporting frequency on a project based on criticality of the deliverables.
