Job summary

Alten is seeking a CAE & MBD analyst in Pune with 2–5 years of hands-on CAE experience. The role involves performing FEA in OptiStruct and conducting multibody dynamics analyses for vehicle systems.

Responsibilities include assembling vehicle MBD models, correlating test data with simulations, and collaborating with test engineers to validate results. The candidate should be proficient with Altair tools and have a mechanical engineering background.

Qualifications

• B.E (Mechanical Engg) or M.E. (Mechanical) required.
• Hands-on experience with Altair HyperMesh, OptiStruct & MotionSolve.
• 2–5 years of CAE analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA analysis in OptiStruct based on predefined load cases.
• Carry out structural/thermal analyses including static, dynamic, modal and fatigue analyses.
• Identify critical challenges and failure modes in collaboration with other teams.
• Conduct full-vehicle MBD analyses of systems and components.
• Assemble full-vehicle MBD models and provide system-level interface loads for FEA.
• Process test data to correlate inputs; document results and propose design/testing solutions.
• Make recommendations to improve design performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with test engineers to verify and validate simulation results.

Job description

Position Title : CAE & MBD analyst

Reporting : CAE Lead in CoE Structures

Qualification : B.E (Mechanical Engg)/M.E. (Mechanical)

Experience : 2 to 5 yrs in CAE Analysis (Hands on Experience of Altair (hypermesh, optistruct & MBD (motion solve))

Brief Job Profile : Will be responsible for carried out CAE & MBD activity.

• Will be responsible for carried out the FEA analysis in Optistruct based on pre-defined load cases.
• Conduct FEA or other structural/thermal analysis, including static or dynamic stress analysis, modal analysis, and fatigue analysis.
• Identify potential critical challenges and failure modes – including collaborating with other engineering teams to identify risks.
• Conduct multibody dynamic (MBD) analysis of complex full vehicles, systems, and components.
• Assemble full vehicle MBD models and provide system level interface loads using these models in support of system level FEA.
• Process and leverage test data to correlate and define model input characteristics Document analysis results and provide solutions to design and testing related to vehicle dynamics and system/component performance.
• Make recommendations to the design to improve their functional performance and reliability.
• Work with test engineers to perform verification and validation of the simulation results.

Competencies:

• Excellent understanding of fundamental mechanics and structural finite element analysis (FEA).
• Experience with Hypermsh, optistruct & Motion solve for MBD
• Ability to differentiate and utilize both system and subsystem analysis techniques to evaluate complex interactions.
• Ability to define DOEs and analyzes the influence of design parameters to optimize the product design for a given application.
