Job summary

ALTEN India is seeking a CAE & MBD analyst with 2–5 years of hands-on experience in CAE analysis using Altair HyperMesh, OptiStruct, and MotionSolve. The role involves performing FEA analyses, MBD simulations for full vehicles and components, and collaborating with testing teams to validate results.

The candidate should have a mechanical engineering background (B.E./M.E.) and strong fundamentals in mechanics and structural analysis to identify risk and propose design improvements for performance

Qualifications

• B.E. (Mechanical) or M.E. (Mechanical) degree required.
• 2–5 years experience in CAE analysis with hands-on Altair tools.
• Strong fundamentals of mechanics and FEA.

Responsibilities

• Carry out CAE & MBD activity for full vehicle/parts.
• Perform FEA in Optistruct based on defined load cases.
• Conduct static/dynamic, modal and fatigue analyses.
• Identify risks and critical challenges, propose design improvements.
• Assemble MBD models and provide system-level interface loads.

Job description

Position Title : CAE & MBD analyst

Reporting : CAE Lead in CoE Structures

Qualification : B.E (Mechanical Engg)/M.E. (Mechanical)

Experience : 2 to 5 yrs in CAE Analysis (Hands on Experience of Altair (hypermesh, optistruct & MBD (motion solve))

Brief Job Profile : Will be responsible for carried out CAE & MBD activity.

• Will be responsible for carried out the FEA analysis in Optistruct based on pre-defined load cases.
• Conduct FEA or other structural/thermal analysis, including static or dynamic stress analysis, modal analysis, and fatigue analysis.
• Identify potential critical challenges and failure modes – including collaborating with other engineering teams to identify risks.
• Conduct multibody dynamic (MBD) analysis of complex full vehicles, systems, and components.
• Assemble full vehicle MBD models and provide system level interface loads using these models in support of system level FEA.
• Process and leverage test data to correlate and define model input characteristics Document analysis results and provide solutions to design and testing related to vehicle dynamics and system/component performance.
• Make recommendations to the design to improve their functional performance and reliability.
• Work with test engineers to perform verification and validation of the simulation results. Competencies:
• Excellent understanding of fundamental mechanics and structural finite element analysis (FEA).
• Experience with Hypermsh, optistruct & Motion solve for MBD
• Ability to differentiate and utilize both system and subsystem analysis techniques to evaluate complex interactions.
• Ability to define DOEs and analyzes the influence of design parameters to optimize the product design for a given application.
