CAE Engineer/ Analyst - Strength & Durability CAE
Location: Gurugram; Full‑time position with 8–10 years of experience. Posted 14th April 2026.
Background
- Educational Qualification: BE / B Tech (preferably Mechanical) – Essential; ME / M Tech (preferably Mechanical Design or equivalent) – Desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years, Maximum 10 years.
Job Role & Responsibilities
- CAE Modelling – Mesh discretization, assembly, constraint & load setting for automotive sub‑systems (Body & Chassis Structure & Closures).
- Perform strength & durability analysis – Linear & Non‑Linear cases.
- Interpret results, comprehend failure modes, and propose countermeasures to meet performance criteria.
- Document results and communicate with stakeholders (design, testing) for implementation of countermeasures.
- Interact with testing teams to analyze failures, correlate CAE results with physical tests, and improve CAE models.
- Support generation & evaluation of value enhancement proposals.
Competency Requirements
Technical / Functional
- Strong fundamentals in strength of materials, machine design, fatigue.
- Experience in finite element analysis and the Body Structures & Closures CAE domain.
- Basic knowledge of automotive body & sheet metal design.
- Proficiency in Hypermesh for CAE modeling, input deck preparation, analysis in Nastran & LS‑Dyna, and post‑processing in Hyperview & LS Pre‑Post.
- Experience in fatigue evaluation – FEMFAT, MSC Fatigue, NCode, and multibody software (e.g., ADAMS) is an advantage.
- Basic exposure to optimization software – Optistruct, Mode Frontier.
- Exposure to physical testing and ability to represent test conditions in CAE.
- Ability to suggest countermeasures for performance improvement.
