Job summary

Johoku Manufacturing in India is seeking a Paint Shop Supervisor to manage shift operations and achieve production targets in the paint shop. You will oversee manpower, train operators, control spray painting parameters, and monitor booth conditions. You will analyze defects and drive Kaizen and 5S initiatives, coordinating with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams. BE, Dip in Mech/Automobile preferred; Hindi manpower management skills appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Handle paint shop shift operations and production targets.
• Manage manpower, operator training, and shop floor discipline.
• Control spray painting process parameters (viscosity, pressure, film thickness).
• Monitor paint booth parameters (temperature, humidity, airflow, filters).
• Control pretreatment process parameters and rework activities.
• Analyze paint defects, control rejection, and root cause troubleshooting.
• Conduct quality tests (DFT, adhesion, hardness, gloss, curing).
• Maintain process documentation, production reports, quality records.
• Implement cost-saving, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams for smooth operations.

Conduct quality tests such as DFT, adhesion, hardness, gloss, and curing verification.

Maintain process documentation, production reports, and quality records.

Implement cost‑saving, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.

Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams for smooth operations.
