Job summary

UNO MINDA in Haryana's Rewari invites experienced professionals to lead paint shop operations for automotive components. You will supervise powder coating, liquid painting, pretreatment, and curing processes to meet production targets while ensuring surface prep, quality control, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of paint shop processes and quality standards.
  • Experience in automotive component painting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP/SAP and production reporting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control day-to-day paint shop operations to achieve production targets.
  • Ensure proper surface preparation, powder coating, liquid painting, and clear coating processes.
  • Monitor paint quality parameters including film thickness, adhesion, gloss, color matching, and finish quality.
  • Troubleshoot painting defects such as orange peel, blistering, pinholes, runs, and shade variation.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.
  • Optimize paint consumption and reduce material wastage.
  • Monitor paint booth parameters, curing oven temperatures, and line efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain paint shop equipment.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of paint shop machinery and utilities.
  • Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and pollution control standards.
  • Maintain daily production, rejection, and paint consumption reports.
  • Train and guide operators on painting processes and quality requirements.
  • Drive productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
