Job summary

Daikin in India seeks a skilled maintenance engineer to diagnose and repair electrical faults in SMT equipment, including servo motor drivers, power supplies, and heating elements. The role requires hands-on experience with pneumatics, pump repair, blower maintenance, and conveyor maintenance on SMT lines.

You will ensure proper grounding to prevent ESD, monitor KPI like MTTR/MTBF, support 5S and internal/external audits, and assist with new machine commissioning and spare parts planning.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of hydraulic circuits, mechanical drawing and material selection.
• Good grounding practices to prevent ESD damage to circuit boards.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and KPI tracking (MTTR, MTBF, availability).
• Exposure to SMT line maintenance and equipment commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in SMT equipment (servo motor drivers, power supplies, heating elements).
• Maintain grounding to prevent ESD damage on boards.
• Monitor vacuum pressure and breakdowns; manage spare parts costs and KPI records.
• Support 5S and participate in ISO 14001, HSE and OHSAS audits.
• Assist with new machine commissioning, trials and spare parts planning.

Job description

Purpose of the Job

Diagnose and repair electrical faults in SMT equipment, such as servo motor drivers, AC/DC power supplies, and heating elements. Have Good knowledge of pneumatics. Hands on experience on Pump repairing, Blower maintainence, electrical control and conveyor maintenance. Should have exposure on SMT line.

1. Good Knolwdge in Hydraulic circuits,Mechanical drawing,Material selection
2. Ensure all machines are properly grounded/earthed to prevent ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) damage to the circuit boards being manufactured.
3. Maintain and test the vacuum pressure of pickup nozzles to prevent component drops.Maintenance KPI to record to be maintain like Spare cost/ component on various line or factory. KPI record to be prepare for MTTR, MTBF & Availability of equipment.
4. Responsible for 5S and Have experience of Internal and external audits ( ISO 14001, HSE and OHSAS )
5. Responsible for Preventive maintenance and shutdown maintenance activity
6. Have Good knowledge of Use electrical diagnostic tools: Digital Multimeters, Insulation Testers (Meggers), and Oscilloscopes to trace signal integrity.
7. Breakdown mainteance of PCBA assembly line into shifts.
8. Daily Maintenance mangement Break down and Preventive maintenance in shifts.
9. System work (PPT,Excel and graphical data explination) and cost per component analysis
10. Responsible/Support for New machine comissioning, Trial, New machine spare parts planning and Maintenance prevention
