Job summary

Tata Electronics is seeking a maintenance engineer to support preventive maintenance, upgrades and ongoing improvements for solder ball equipment, ensuring MTBA/OEE/MTBF targets are met. The role involves hands-on repair, root cause analysis, and detailed 8D reporting.

You will lead a maintenance team, manage spares, and participate in training programs to提升 technical skills and reduce downtime in a high-precision production environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• Experience in maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of 8D problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Hands-on with solder ball equipment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support preventive maintenance and upkeep for solder ball equipment.
• Install, upgrade and modify Solder Ball Mounter and related processes.
• Meet MTBA, OEE, MTBF, MTTR targets through PM.
• Monitor PM success rate (3 lots) within 60 min MTBA.
• Update PM checklists based on lessons learned.
• Reduce downtime with hands-on equipment skills.
• Perform process mapping and root-cause analyses.
• Manage spare parts inventory and trigger orders when needed.
• Wire management and 5S in the area.
• Passover PM shift communication and follow-up.
• Participate in vendor training and internal mentoring.
• Follow OCAP and calibration handovers for major downs.
• Act as ERT shift representative.
• Handle a group of maintenance staff.
• Write detailed 8D reports on equipment/product failures.
• Coach and train up L1-L5 maintenance staff.

Responsibility:

• 1.Support equipment Preventive Maintenance, major Down, update pm documentation, assist Process and Support NPI to set-up & conversion for Solder Ball Mounter, Solder Ball Inspection, Reflow, De flux, Strip Mounter, Heller Reflow Oven & process, Pick & Place, Trim & Form.
• 2. Perform installation, upgrade, continue improvement & modification on Solder Ball Mounter, Solder Ball Inspection, Reflow, De flux, Strip Mounter, Heller Reflow Oven & process.
• 3. Involve in PM activity and ensure completion within the allocated time to meet the targeted MTBA, OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
• 4. Achieve the PM Success rate target goal (3 lots) monitoring with 60 min MTBA.
• 5. Responsible to update the Preventive maintenance checklist base on lesson learn on the major down.
• 6. Good Hands-on skill in the mentioned equipment and must be responsible to reduce downtime effectively.
• 7. Perform analysis and process mapping for line quality issue by implementing Problem Statement, Root Cause, Containment actions, permanent Corrective action , Preventive action and feedback to superiors for further actions and update shift report to respective Team.
• 8. Issuing spare parts for stock items, keep track qty for non-stock items/critical parts and trigger superior to purchase if reach triggering limit.
• 9. Perform equipment wiring management and maintain process area/machine 5S in mentioned area.
• 10. Proper Passover PM shift communication, information sharing & follow up.
• 11. Go through internal and external mentor program/vendor training to upgrade technical skill
• 12. Ensure spec compliance and follow OCAP for machine troubleshooting which handover by sustain team due to Major Down and to perform equipment related calibration
• 13. Act as ERT shift representative for mention equipment and process
• 14. Any other duties assigned from time to time
• 15. Must be able to Handle a Group of Maintenance.
• 16. Must be able to write Detail Technical Report on any Equipment failure and product failure related to equipment consisting of 8D and Root cause Problem Solving consist of Problem Statement, Root Cause, Containment Action, Permanent Corrective action and Permanent Preventive action.
• 17. Coaching, guiding and arranging soft skills and Equipment Training L1/ L2/L3 /L4 and L5 for the downline.
