Job summary

Hero MotoCorp Ltd. invites a design engineer to advance core engine domains such as crankshaft, piston, valve train and powertrain components, using CATIA, ProE, KISSOFT, Romax and CRUISE.

You will contribute to gasoline and two-wheeler engine development, work within approved model strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery to CTQ parameters.

Qualifications

• Design of crankshaft, con rod, piston, bearing, valve train, rocker shaft, cam train, balancer system, air intake system, Muffler, transmission, shift system design, starter system, radiator, chain & tensioner system, oil seals, clutch, throttle body, crankcase, cover, cylinder head, cylinder block, cylinder block, CVT system.
• Understanding engine development process
• Proven record of (substantial) work on gasoline and 2 wheeler engines

Responsibilities

• Design in core domain as per approved model strategy across engine components and systems.
• Hands-on expertise in design tools (CATIA, ProE, KISSOFT, Romax, CRUISE).
• Ensure delivery within CTQ parameters and contribute to team engagement in engine technology and research activities.

The incumbent is responsible to design in his core domain as per approved model strategy state of art engines and technologies, further improve existing products and components, support the team engagement in engine technology and research related activities and ensures delivery within CTQ parameters.

A Day in the life

• Design of crankshaft, con rod, piston, bearing, valve train, rocker shaft, cam train, balancer system, air intake system, Muffler, transmission, shift system design, starter system, radiator, chain &tensioner system, oil seals, clutch, throttle body, crankcase, cover, cylinder head, cylinder block, cylinder block, CVT system.
• Engine layouting.
• Hands on expertise in design tools (CATIA, Proe, KISSOFT, Romax,CRUISE) (Any of the keywords)
• Understanding engine development process
• Understanding and experience in design methodology with front loading
• Proven record of (substantial) work on gasoline and 2 wheeler engines
