Job summary

Hero MotoCorp in Jaipur is seeking a Design Robustness Engineer (Engine Design) to lead the design and reliability of critical engine components, including cylinder head, block, crankshaft, and powertrain. You will guide cross-functional teams to ensure First Time Right design quality and timely issue resolution.

The role requires strong automotive process knowledge, proficiency in Catia, PLM and APiS, and experience in DFMEA, design and process improvements.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical or Automotive engineering.
• Experience in DFMEA and automotive design processes.
• Proficient with Catia, PLM tools and APiS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead new model activity and design robustness for engine components.
• Manage market issues with severity-based timelines.
• Monitor test standards and capture lessons learned.

A purpose driven role for you

This role is responsible for managing critical engine components, including the cylinder head, block, crankshaft, casting, machining, and powertrain. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional team (CFT) members to achieve new product design quality and reliability through a \"First Time Right\" approach while actively managing market issues and customer feedback to ensure timely resolution. Technical requirements for this position include a strong understanding of automotive processes, proficiency in Catia, PLM, and APiS, and in-depth knowledge of Design, Process DFMEA.

A Day in the life
