Job summary

Nextenti Tech in Hyderabad is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to assist gastroenterologists during procedures. You will prepare equipment, position patients and help maintain sterile technique.

You will monitor patient vital signs, handle biopsies and specimens, and ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of endoscopes and accessories. Collaboration with doctors, nurses and staff is essential to maintain safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Sc. in Endoscopy Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Operation Theatre Technology or related healthcare field.
• Relevant hospital/endoscopy unit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the endoscopy room, equipment, instruments and accessories before procedures.
• Assist doctors during Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and other endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs such as BP, pulse rate and SpO.
• Assist with specimen/biopsy collection and proper handling of samples.
• Operate and check endoscopy equipment as required.
• Perform proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of endoscopes and accessories.
• Identify equipment issues and coordinate for maintenance when required.
• Maintain procedure records, equipment logs and inventory of consumables.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of endoscopy instruments.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff.
