Job summary

Continental Hospitals in Hyderabad seeks an experienced endoscopy-nurse to provide pre- and post-procedure care, ensure sterile endoscopy suites, and educate patients and families. You will monitor vitals and sedation under physician guidance and assist during procedures.

The role requires RN licensure with 8 years of nursing experience, preferably with procedural or endoscopy background. BSN is preferred. Strong teamwork and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-procedure, including medical history, allergies, and readiness for endoscopy.
• Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile endoscopy suite and equipment.
• Provide patient education, obtain informed consent, and address patient/family questions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels during procedures; administer IV sedation under physician direction if required.
• Assist physicians and technologists during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Oversee patient recovery post-procedure, observing for complications and ensuring comfort.
• Provide discharge instructions and post-procedure education (diet, activity, signs of complications).
• Document nursing care, procedural details, and patient responses in charts/EMR.
